Week 28 appointment

I had my ultrasound appointment for week 28 of my pregnancy. It went great. I gained 4 pounds in two weeks. Yikes! Our little girl is growing like a weed. She weighs 3 pounds and 6 ounces. She is measuring at 30 weeks even though I turn week 29 tomorrow. She is head down and moving a lot. This may mean she will come a week earlier than our original December 1st due date. I won't know until I talk to the doctor and as the weeks progress. I hoping and praying for another 7 pound baby but hopefully not too much bigger than the boys. I am guessing she will be 7.5 based on the fact that Jonathan was 2 ounces bigger than Stephen.

Anna's room is 1/2 way finished and looking the way I want. My sister Jamie is moving in with us for about 3 weeks until her new apartment is ready. She will be in Anna's room starting this weekend. She will be using some of her dresser drawers and also taking/borrowing a piece of furniture in her room that I do not want/need right now.

The boys are super excited about their sister. Everywhere I go someone will ask me if it's a girl. Stephen wants to know when I will "crack like an egg." Um... no, son, my belly isn't going to crack like an egg even though it looks like an egg."

A friend of mine took pictures of the boys and I a few weeks ago. She is sending me the CD. I can't wait to get it. Here is one she took.

Visiting my parents

We went to my hometown high school football game on Friday night. The boys absolutly loved it. They did so good.We were at the top of the stadium so that made it even better. There is more room for them to move from Jamie, to Papa and Noni and back to me. It was also a little breezy up there for me. I think the boys liked the marching band and touchdown scoring the most.

Last, Mom is teaching me how to make bows. Here are a few of my first bows. I am learning... so some of them aren't very good.

Pre-School (Mother's Day Out)

Today Stephen and Jonathan met their new teachers for a Pre-School Mother's Day Out program at our church. It was a meet and greet so we met the teacher, played with a few toys and then we left. I am super impressed with their teachers. Both of the boy's classes has 10 kids and 2 teachers. They will go on Monday's and Wednesday's from 9am-2pm starting this week. This is great timing for me because I start my doctor appointments every two weeks starting this Wednesday. I scheduled my next 3 appointments on Wednesday's while they are at MDO. My awesome mother-in-law tagged along to meet their teacher's and see where they will be just in case our little Anna decides to come at anytime on Monday or Wednesday between 9am and 2pm. Daniel will be 1 hour away and Shirley is only 15 minutes from my house. I did get induced with both boys but maybe not with this little girl. Maybe, just maybe I will go into labor on my own with number 3, but that scares me a little considering I had Stephen in 3 1/2 hours and Jonathan in 5 hours. Oh well, only the Lord knows what will happen in 14 weeks. I trust God with my life and with my baby Anna.

Here is Stephen's first at home project we took from his teacher today. It is due Wednesday, on the first day. It is a color book. We came home and after I put Jonathan down for naptime I let Stephen chose an item for each color and fit it into each bag (red, green, blue, orange, yellow, black, purple, white, pink).

Now, he will take it to school and read it to his classmates.

Here I am at almost 27 weeks and I have gained a whopping 25 lbs.

I will be visiting my Mom and Dad in Gonzales September 1st-6th while our Daddy is on his Alaska hunting trip. We are counting down the days until is homecoming.

The backyard in 100+ heat

I just give Stephen the water hose and he waters everything, including his brother.

Jonathan is reminding me more and more of Daniel now. He is just the sweetest kid alive. I am thoroughly enjoying staying home with him during this stage of his toddlerhood. He is talking and communicating great. He still hits and bites Stephen and it's a constant battle for me to catch him befor he bites. Stephen is great at defending himself now.

What's going on with us

On August 10th I booked Stephen's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. It will be his first "real" birthday party with more than just family invited. He is already very excited. Just about every other day we sing the months of the year/days of the week song because we are counting down the months until November. Since our little girl will arrive on or around his 4Th birthday I have decided to celebrate his birthday on November 5Th. This way I am not stressing about it when it's time to deliver our little girl. We are thinking about getting him a bike with pedals for his birthday. He is still riding his Strider bike right now but he is ready for pedals (he tells us).

For the last few weeks or so I have brought the bikes inside and let the boys ride them in the house (after wiping off the wheels). I know your thinking I am insane but it's all I can do some days to let them get their energy out. I also bought a membership here in our area to The Children's Museum. It's a small scaled museum compared to the one in downtown Houston. We have not tried going to it yet but maybe one day. The facility in our area is very reasonable for a year membership and the boys love it!

I am 6 month (24 weeks) pregnant and feeling every bit of "being large" again. By large I mean I have outgrown all of my maternity shorts (3 pair). I really can't go up a size because they will be to big. I am one of those in betweener pregnancy girls. It sucks in so many ways! So guess what, I am wearing comfy shorts around the house and and my one pair out in public. I AM NOT BUYING ANYMORE MATERNITY! The uncomfortable nights of sleep have already begun. The sciatic nerve is a daily pain. For some reason I didn't have much pain with my first or second pregnancy. I am still lift Jonathan into his crib and car seat but that should hopefully stop soon. The running boards and leather are getting installed in my Sequoia Monday (thankfully). My next appointment is on August 22 at 25 weeks (almost 26). It will be my first glucose test that I am praying I pass so I won't have to do the 3 hour test. In the back of my mind I am preparing for the worst (gestational diabetes). I didn't have it with Jonathan so I am hoping I won't with our little girl.

I am happy to say I did get my first prenatal message today and she focused on my sciatic nerve. It seems to have really helped. She also gave me a great tip on how to relieve the pain. All thanks to my wonderful husband for letting me go and my mother-in-law for keeping the kids since Daniel was in Louisiana this week.

I may have to take the alphabet down and put it above the window because I need to put Jonathan's name over his bed (like Stephen's name).

Some cute girl clothes

I am so proud of myself. I have bought only one new outfit for my little girl that I plan to deliver in 16 weeks. I have a sweet friend who told me about a friend who is looking to sell her daughters clothes. So I went over on Monday and bought about 60 items, including socks and a few lovy blankets and one pair of shoes. I am so excited. I think I have looked through all the clothes about 3 times. I haven't bought dreft yet so they are in a bag ready to be washed before she arrives.

I also bought off of www.etsy.com some block letters that spell our little girl's name that I plan to put on a dresser or lamp stand in her room. I am looking into a cute, girly car seat cover for my infant car seat but I haven't found what I am want yet. There are some pretty expensive girl stuff out there that I just can't wrap my head around so I am taking my time.

Gulf Shores Beach Trip

We enjoyed our beach vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We went with Daniel's sister and family, his brother Peter and his parents. We had such a good time in the sand and water.

Our attempt at a family photo went like the usual with our little guys. Here are some fun pictures.
