Stephen is 6

We went to his check up today. 

44 inches tall 

45 pounds 

** no sticker. I guess we don't get one anymore to put in his book.  I was sad. 

He did great answering all the questions and  hearing and vision were great. 

We spent our waiting time reading his December High Five magazine. 

He is not scared to try anything: 

Roller skating for the first time at his cousin's 6th birthday party. They are only 12 days apart.

I truly love this man with all my heart. I never dreamed of a life as good as I have it. I'm so thankful for the Lord's blessings upon my family after 9 years of marriage. The Lord reminds me of this when the daily grind of motherhood is difficult and exhausting with 3 kids ages 6, 4 and 2.

Anna is 2

We love how much personality this tiny bundle of joy adds to our family. A little about Anna Leigh: 

Favorite food: 

Eggs, craisans, cheese,squeeze yogurt, sweet potatoe/carrot/apple/cinnamon pouches, apples, strawberries, grapes, Popsicles (thankfully just frozen yogurt works) 

Favorite Toy: Babies, all of them, puzzles

Favorite item: large black and white cow stuffed animal & two pink blankets 

Favorite sayings as of now:

This little thing is very opinionated and bossy. I've had to start time out and a few spanks on the bottom. 

She is not potty training yet but loves to pee and poop on the potty. 

She is a mess. She helped herself to some left over tea. 

She loves to watch alphabet videos on the iPad, listen to my music, and watch Tarzan. 

Still uses a pacifier. Trying to cut back to only nap time. 

Her first Little People doll house from Noni Lucas. 

She found my makeup bag this week and was unsupervised for a little too long. 

Halloween with cousins

We enjoyed our first Halloween in our new neighborhood. Cheri and the kids came over to dress up and enjoy playing after school. Judah is such a cutie and is a little over 1 month old. 

My almost 6 year old and Beginning Blends

I'm excited that Stephen is ready to begin some blends. I found these cool beginning blends and digraph word banks that are 17x11 inches. I put up ch-, st-, wh-, th-, and sh- above in his bedroom. He likes to spend time reading and playing Legos in his room (if he can get away from Anna and Jonathan).

His teacher conference went well concerning academics. He is reading on a level 3 and loves to add detail to his writing. He's talking too much, loosing his crayons and not getting his work done because of the talking. Despite all of this he is doing good. I'm working on an incentive chart with him at home to help reinforce 'good behavior.' He loves centers, PE, music and art. He is thrilled when he gets to paint using pastel oils. I get to hear all about his day each and everyday. It warms my heart to know he enjoys school, his friends and loves his teacher. 

Story book character day was Friday. Since we had this costume he decided to be Officer Buckle using the book Officer Buckle and Gloria. He loves this book after his teacher read it in September. 

Anna 22 months

Anna turned 22 months at the end of September. After months of fits because she can't ride her brothers strider I broke down and bought her a strider balance bike. I found her a 'pink' one on amazon. 

She is doing great!!! 

With this lovely fall weather we have had some evenings in the 80's. Even though it's still a bit sticky we still go out and get some good biking in while we explore the new subdivision getting built behind us. 

National Walk to School Day

We decided to walk from our house instead of bike. It was fun and we joined on with some neighbors. 

I am 34

Happy fall! I turned 34 last week. We have enjoyed the few cooler mornings and evenings that we have had. I'm hoping it really starts to cool down soon. Yesterday at walker pick up it was 99 (Done, with hot and sticky). The pool is much cooler. We use the hot tub and swim on the weekends but that me be coming to a close soon.

Anna got a strider bike this week when she turned 22 months. 

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, Stephen survived his first day of kindergarten (Mom did too). He explained all the fun things he did throughout the day. Then said that he knew all the answers to the questions but his teacher wouldn't call on him. I had to remind him that other kids get to have a turn during discussion. He loved P.E. and seeing Coach Lambright (Daniel and I went to college with him). Around 5:15pm I got a teacher phone call explaining that he was very sweet and kind but a little too social. So we had a chat with our little guy about his behavior. 

Here. We.go. 

I'm praying he has a better day tomorrow (talking less). 

Anna is talking

Our little girl is approaching 21 months but she sure has started the "terrible two's," this week. Communication is not the issue. She is talking using 3-4 word phrases. This week she started introducing to everyone. She says "This Bubba," This Momma." Her new phrases lately.

"Momma, I want oranges"
"Bubba, I want baby.".
"I want cheese."
"I want blue berries."
"I see air-panes."
"I see the moon."

Potty Training is fun! Not !

Jonathan has a constipation issue that started around 2 1/2 and has steadily gotten worse. I tried many things such as switching to almond milk 100% (2 cups a day) both boys, a daily probiotic and very little cheese or dairy at all. Now at his 4 year check up she put him on a full cap of miralax daily and SDS is taking a small dose. 

Anna is going both pee and poop on the potty for about two weeks now. Usually poop only once a day and pee a few times a day. I am not potty training her I am still getting JD to go poop. This week I had a break through and Jonathan pooped on the potty for the FIRST time. Yes, we all did a happy dance!! He hasn't done it since. So, I finally figured out how to get him to not poop in his pull-up or underwear. He wears NOTHING all day. 

God only knows my horrible potty stories in the last 6 months. The great thing is there is a time and season for everything and this is my season of soiled underwear and full on trying to break my hardheaded four year old so he will poop on the potty. 

Wouldn't that be a great 34th birthday present? I'm praying I can get this done by 9/20/13. Anna is doing so good she will train by November. 

Kindegarten, here he comes...

We found out Stephen's kindergarten teacher this week. We will meet her Wednesday at Meet The Teacher. He is excited. I am the stalker Mom that found her teacher website and showed my son who his new teacher will be. We are practicing her name. He is going to have so much fun this year.

20 months

She is pure joy with a little bit of drama. 

This was a pure bribery. I told the kids we were going to a certain person's house to visit for few minutes and drop something off and she wouldn't let us in her house. This is what my sister and I had to experience.
