Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia

We had a tiring trip but it actually turned out good. Our first flight left from Houston at 9:15pm on Wed. We arrived at LAX airport around 11:55pm with a 1 hour and 20 min. Connecting flight to Korea. We lugged our carry-on's and 3 tired kids and with some help from the Asiana airline we got to our gate before it began to board. Talk about stressful. The kids were wide awake and hungry so I managed to grab 3 waters and 3 lunchables before we went on the plane. Jonathan didn't even make it to take off he was asleep in his seat, Anna and Stephen enjoyed every second of their large seats that folded into a bed. Sure enough about 2am both finally went to sleep. All slept for 6 hours and woke up. We still had 5 hours left before we landed. That was difficult keeping them quiet but we managed to do our best. The last 2 hours were the hardest. Flying into Seoul Kirea was nice but we arrived at 6am, nothing was open. The kids didn't eat the 2 meals they provided on the flight very well. They ate fruit, croissants and yogurt and a few bites of their pancakes. Stephen did great and was easily entertained with the flight game system, remote, his DS game and played my iPhone. Our next flight had a 4 hour lay over in Korea. The kids did good the first two hours and then started getting tired. We managed to keep them awake by taking them for a doanut, play on the playground around 8 and then took showers and got ready to go our gate to board. All 3 slept the entire 2 hour and 50 min flight. Anna woke up at about an hour in and had to be held by Daniel  and then I took over the last hour holding her. Arriving into to Russia was good. It was so windy and nice outside. The kids loved walking off the plane down the stairs and on the run way. The next two hours were spent getting our bags and us to our new house. We had food in the fridge when we arrived at 3pm. Daniels boss took him to the closest grocery store to get some more basics. We had bacon, eggs, corn flakes,  jelly,  hot dogs (of some kind), 1 QT. Of milk, two juices jugs and sugar and instant coffee. We brought pb and Daniel bought jelly, bread, tea  and some yogurt and some other basics. We cooked our first meal of spaghetti and then had cereal the next morning along with eggs and bacon.  On Sat. His boss came back and took us to the mall for a major grocery shopping trip. We bought as much as we could. We have a very small store near our house so I went yesterday on Daniels bike (when Daniel got home from work) to get milk, yogurt and eggs.
