April

It's spring time so we are I'm the pool. The pool is still a little cool (50-70's) so we have heated it a few times this month. We are celebrating Uncle Peter's birthday . The kids loved it. 

Russia

We found out in March that we are moving to the Sakhalin Islands in Russia in early August. I realize Russia is going nuts right now with the Ukraine but we are not sure this will affect our move. I guess we will find out in August. For now I am trying to do what I can with the information I know. I know we will have a 40 foot container to transport our furniture and belongings that we will need. I am happy we will get what we need but I am sure it will not be in a timely manner. I am preparing myself to "deal without" even though it's months away. I tend to do ok when it comes to change but I haven't had a major life change like this. The Lord is my rock and he will get us through the trials of this move. 

Hunter is 8

A happy day because we celebrated Hunter turning 8. His dad is rotating in Argentina and could not be here so we had a special party to celebrate him.

Ski Trip to Copper Mountain, CO

We had a great ski trip in February with a few couples from our early years of marriage. We decided not yo bring our kids because we didn't want Stephen to miss 5 days of school. 

We flew into Denver, Colorado and drove an hour and a half to Copper Mountain. It was a gorgeous drive but I began feeling altitude sickness for the next 12 hours. I ended getting some medicine for nausea that ended up helping.

We all cooked on a designated night so we went into Frisco 45 minutes away to eat frozen yogurt and coffee when it was 20 degrees outside.

My man and I are only a few months away from 10 years of marriage. This was our first time skiing together. 

January

My sweet baby nephew was born on January 3rd. He was a healthy 8 pounds and 15 ounces. My sister Jamie and her husband Cliff named him Cody John. 

He is 3 weeks old in this picture. I absolutely loved seeing him for the first few days after his birth. 

I miss him so much. I can't wait to see him in March.
