Weeks 2-6

Stephen and I spend some fun times together. He nursed every 2 1/2 hours until he was 4 weeks old. He then went to 3 hours after Christmas. Starting at week 5 he started sleeping 4 hours at night. I was elated to get that much sleep. Daniel did great and helped out a lot to let me sleep during the first few weeks after my Mom left. I wouldn't have been able to do it without him helping. I nursed Stephen until he was 8 weeks old. He has been on formula now for 7 days. He is sleeping good, usually 5-7 hours at night. If he can stay awake for his 11pm feed he will sleep until 6am. I am waking him up at 6am so he can get on my schedule for work. I had to tweek his schedule a little to get him on my schedule. I will be leaving the house around 6:30 to get him to daycare by 6:45. I like to arrive at school around 7:15 so it gives me time to get ready for my day. Then at the end of the day I will be able to leave when I get off duty at 3:30pm.

6-8 weeks old

Stephen is growing out of some of his clothes. His feet are getting to tight in some of his onsies. We have several pants that he is wearing now. This camo outfit is from Noni and Papa Lucas. It finally fits him so this is what he wore to Gonzales this weekend.

6 weeks old

Stephen weighs about 9 lbs. 8 ounces. He does not go to the doctor for his shots for another two weeks so we don't know his percentages yet on height and weight. He smiles now, makes noises and kicks his feet and waves his arms. Here are a few pictures of him waking up from his morning nap, activity time with Mommy and almost alseep again.

Christmas 2006

Daniel and I spent Christmas with Daniel's family in Houston because they were back from the Philippines this year. We had a great time with them and also enjoyed hanging out with Song, a graduate student from China. We had fried turkey, baked turkey and also ham. It was great!

On Christmas eve we went to the Christmas eve service at the church. It was a great reminder of all that God had done in our lives. He has blessed us so much this year with Daniel's new great job, an amazing and godly husband and great friends.. Here are some pictures of this Christmas.

Thanksgiving in Gonzales

Daniel and I had a great time in Gonzales over Thanksgiving. We brought Kevin, a Chinese PhD student at UH, and he enjoyed seeing the country. We fried 2 turkeys on Thanksgiving day, then had a bonfire with roasted marshmellows later that night.
