We have been waiting so long to get to the beach. Since we moved last summer we did not take the kids to the beach. We found a beach front condo (2 bedroom, 2 bath) in early June and booked it. We rented a kayak and Daniel took the kids fishing in the water but very close to shore. His parents also came and had a condo with his sisters 3 kids for four nights. All the kids enjoyed swimming, kayak fishing, cast net fishing, night exploring with flashlights, playing frisbee, football, soccer, flying a kite and playing on the beach. We got to enjoy a evening out for our anniversary from 6:30-9:30pm. We ate at the Grotto.
It did become overcast quite a bit but it didn't stay that way. The boys dug and dug.
This child of mine thoroughly enjoyed throwing nasty seaweed.
We were happy our beach did not wreak of seaweed stench like beach on the sea wall. It. Was. Bad. This is why we only stay at Pointe West and enjoy our clean, private beach.
This is probably the only photo of me the entire trip. I'm sad we did not take a family photo at the beach but oh well.

We also missed the beach last year, which made me sad, but we're heading to Port A with my family in September... can't wait!
