Memorial Day weekend (without kids)

We love our kids but we sure did enjoy spending 2 nights and 3 days away from our boys. We dropped off the boys with Noni, Papa and Aunt Jamie in Gonzales we drove to Austin to spend the weekend with our friends Ryan and Shannon. They have two beautiful little girls who stayed in Maryland with their grandparents. One night we went to the Belmont in downtown Austin. It has outside dining with a live band. Daniel and Ryan went to play golf on two different occasions. Shan and I enjoyed the pool and the outside mall across from our hotel. You cannot come to Texas without eating mexican food so we went to Chuy's twice. On Sunday we drove to New Braunfels and floated the Guadalupe River for 3 hours. The water was very cold but the weather was great. Afterwards, we went to eat at the Gristmill River Resturant in Gruene for dinner. Thankfully we all handled the rocks on the river well and didn't have any bumps, cuts or bruises like we witnessed.
